I assure you that is true. I have had a tubaligation and I still every month like clock work have a menstrual. If she had her "uterus" removed or the lining removed, a hysterectomy, or menopause, and I'm sure more reasons yet available, she would then not have menstrual.
Just having your tubes tied does NOT stop the menstrual cycle.
Your ovaries provide the egg. Your uterus the rest. When no egg has been implanted the bedding, and fertilized, the fluid empties from the uterus as its purpose is to protect the egg. A tubal prevents the eggs in the ovaries from entering the uterus. It has nothing to do with the menstrual cycle and it would still occur every cycle. The reason she has her cycle is just that. There is no egg to bed so it flushes out. If there were an egg, then her cycle would not flush but rather stay in to bed the baby..........
Relax she is very much telling you the truth!!! This is how some females have still gotten pregnant after a tubaligation.

Hmm good question. Why would you still get your period? I thought that the ovum and corpus luteum are responsible for the increase in estrogen and progesterone, which causes the uterus lining to form?
Although you should know that you don't only need to flush out the egg, the whole uterus lining is shed and has to be flushed out. Did you think women were chickens laying eggs? All the blood there is a result of their uterus linings shedding...

I wish!!! I had my tubes tied 3 years ago and have still got my period on a regular basis. The only way to keep from having your period is to take a birth control that will halt your period or a hystorectomy, where they take out your female organs. You may have gotten the two procedures confused.

YES!!!! the only thing that will stop a woman from bleeding is a hysterectomy or menopause. tying the tubes only blocks the egg from being fertilized.

You are wrong. A period is the shedding of the lining of the uterus, and has nothing to do with eggs. Your girlfriends uterus still sheds itself once a month.

Yes, they will still get their period. It is not the eggs, but the hormones in the body that determine a person will get her period or not. Unless she is menopause, she will still get her period.

No--mine are worse because of some extra weight I'm carrying, and the fact of getting older (I'm 45, and had them tied at 23).
