Certain web sites want to run "AxtiveX" for whatever reason. When I get the pop-up window that asks if its ok to run and I either click 'ok' or click the 'x' (close window), IE7 closes down and asks me if I want to snd an error report.

What gives? This has just started to happen.

It sounds like when you installed Active X it didnt install correctly. Try redownloading it and installing it.

Just be careful of active x controls that are not digitaly signed, Dodgy active x controls can bring down malware such as Trojans and worms, do a virus scan and a spyware scan just to make sure you are not infected.

I myself will not download active x controls unless they are digitaly signed.
