Do you believe in FATE?

To a certain extent, yes, I do believe in fate... but I also believe that we have a LOT of control over what we do (or don't do) in our lives.

I think people who have a lot of good luck are actually people who CREATE luck and good things. For example, I do believe that "paying it forward" [doing good things for other people, without reason] will inevitably come back and create good things in your own life. Like the saying "Good things will come back to you.." : )

I also believe the opposite to be true: that people who do evil things will inevitably have more negative/bad things happen to them during their life ["What goes around, comes around..."] : )

I also agree w. the 1st person (above)... : )
I also think the way I met my boyfriend was fate... the circumstance of how we met are just too bizarre and unique to have happened "just by chance".

Bottom line: YES, I do believe that FATE does control SOME things in our lives, but I also believe that people need to be pro-active in order to make good things happen to us!
: )
Good question! : )

No doubt! How many times have you had a chance meeting or circumstance take place that totally changed your life? The real question is, how do you know when certain acts of fate are happening? It is easy to look back and say, "I sure am glad I made that decision" or "I wish I had done things differently". There is no such thing as good or bad fate - it is what it is. Things happen for certain reasons and good or bad, it becomes your destiny.

Fate, karma and destiny - all are important players in our lives. Fate and karma will often dictate your destiny. You have control over karma, but you have none whatsoever on fate.

No- there is no such thing as fate. Everything is random and you have complete control over your own destiny.

Nothing is predestined, and nothing 'happens for a reason.'

Something HAS to happen anyway, and it's as random as anything else.

We are not puppets on strings or characters in some story dreamt up long ago. We are free spirits who can do what we choose whenever we'd like. All the decisions we make are our own, as are the results of these same choices. We cannot give credit or blame to any supernatural power for the events in our lives. Rather, we accept the good with the bad, and make the very best of whatever happens around us.

The important thing to remember is how there are two basic types of people on this planet:

People who make things happen
and
People who things happen to

Which type are you?

Yes I believe in some fate, meeting my husband was totally not normal, if I hadn't been at a certain place at a certain time we would never had met.
But I don't believe our life is so fated it is totally planned out.

Yah, I do believe in fate. But from my point of view, There is nothing called bad or good fate. Each and every thing comes to us according to our action (karma). Therefore, fate is determined by one's own karma.

Yes. And I also believe in Free Will.

Some things are predestined and some things are not.

And some things are destined to happen depending on the choices we make.

Not per se.

I believe that God has a path for me, and that He knows exactly what is going to happen. I can choose to diverge from that path, which is probably going to result in problems for me. God wants what is best for me, and is always merciful.
