I don't really know the details since it is a trivia I got from somewhere else. It says 'Name of the only animal still alive in its species '

I'm wondering if you mean this: What is the species that has only one member left? If so, then I think Lonesome George may qualify, however he is the only one of his SUB-species BELIEVED to be left (Geochelone nigra abingdonii).

Are you sure you mean species? Cause there is more than one.

Duck billed platypus. Snail kite. Any species on the Endangered List.

Perhaps you mean order. There is only one marsupial monito del monte.
Microbiotheria
Microbiotheriidae
Dromiciops
Dromiciops gliroides

There are many animals that are a single representative of a family or genus.

That would not be much of a species if it had no animals alive in its species.

I would guess that any current animal would be a candidate for that. If it is moving and breathing it is alive in its species.
