Working on a 1994 Transport 3800 that will not restart after the intital first start. This one starts fine, runs great, then will not restart for 1-2 hours.Have replaced starter, egr, relay, air, fuel filter.Fuel delivery is good with a postive reading.Does anyone have any ideas?there seems to be no other common factor other than engine is warm.

The engine sounds fine, just wont start.I can hear starter, fuel pump all coming on.No clicks, buzzing, nothing unusual.
Actually it spins well, does sound like its out of gas:although the lady that owns it said "it always sounds like that" tank is 3/4 full.

If you could give a more detailed explanation of what is happening when you turn the key to start your car.
1) Nothing happens?
2) You hear a "click", but nothing else?
3) You hear the starter turning, but the engine doesn't turn?
4) The starter turns the engine, but the engine won't start up?
5) The engine turns over, but very slowly.
6) the engine turns, but there's an awful banging noise?

ADDED:
I'd have to say it's an ignition problem.
GM Ignition modules tend to go out from heat.
When you turn the engine off, the heat from the engine transfers to the electronic components and they won't work until they cool off. (no spark at spark plugs)

had the same problem with a car a while ago, my problem was an over heated starter motor, bit of insulation between the engine and starter soon solved the problem
