I'm going to pretend I'm white for these few seconds and respond by saying,
"Your coworker needs to stop playing the race card. If she wants good feedback from her boss then she needs to listen to his advice, get off her lazy ***, and work. She needs to stop blaming Black people for her shortcomings."
Wow! I just downplayed a possible case of racial discrimination. Hot damn!
=====
LoL @ princess, "Let them walk in our shoes for a while, then they wont tell us anymore to just "GET OVER IT"
That's what I forgot to add...
"She also needs to GET OVER racism. Racism isn't prevalent as it was in the past."
===
Hahaha - Yes, that's right ya. You caught on quickly...but will you change? I doubt it because you people highly doubt you do anything wrong.

I think she'll be okay. It's not right to treat her like that, though. Everyone should be told to get off the short bus.
To answer your first question, though, NO. Whites cannot deal w/ prejudice and discrimination. It's not something they've ever had to do on a regular basis in their lives....I think if they had to trade shoes with blacks for a week they'd need some serious mental help.
I've seen experiments where whites (males and females alike) don the appearance of blacks through wigs and makeup and they were all in tears before the end of the day. "It's just NOT fair!!", they'd yell.
Tell me about it. Scream and shout it to the folks who don't have makeup to take off.

Hell no, ROFL. I mean before I got smart and went into business for myself, I was always singled out at work by whites. It's sort of refreshing to see that tables turned on them now, you know? She won't be all right. She will now be embittered and after she is fired, and when she gets a job somewhere else where whites may be the majority, she will harbor that resentment that she feels towards most in her current position. I know I did for a long time, but bigots give me reason daily to harbor resentment towards them, so it's like a never-ending scenerio with bigotry and esp. in the town where I live. It's lily-white and very bigoted, uneducated, little diversity, so you are very lucky to have such diversity where you currently live. She won't be all right, but it's interesting to see " it " happening to her. A real hot mess.

I'm white and I've been discriminated against all my life due to my disability. I cope with the ignorance by going back to college, better myself, and proving to everyone that being disabled does not mean being unabled.
Do yourself a favor and pay your co-worker no mind. She is just a spoiled brat who just needs to get over herself. If you are afraid of her, just stay clear of her. Let her throw her temper tantrums. Be the better person. Cheers.

I think that white people can handle prejudice, but for the most part black people handle it better because they've been through hell and back. As for your co-worker, she obviously can't. I also think prejudice is way too played out on both sides of the puzzle. I say just let our cultures continue to blend and be tolerant of everyone.

If she's not qualified for this job , she should be "let go" but talking down on her or treating her that way its unacceptable and it is against policies I'm sure of it, now...maybe she's way to sensitive to be around adults and its definitely possible he just don't like her... ..who knows..the only thing i know is that most of the black females that an swear this quest...seem to think that she deserved it for being white....wow....so much for sisterhood.......didn't you mama's tough anything you about that? its bad enough that men through out history has treated woman like a piece of meat that need to be told what our place is in this world .... we all deserve to be treated w dignity .

Well, she could start a stink and that could be bad for business and cause racial trouble within the community, which is really bad for business. Your job might depend on good business. You might want to tell the boss to lighten up or she could cause a big problem. He/She probably doesn't notice that their behavior is biassed.

Your co-worker obviously can't, but that doesn't mean that all white people cannot cope. It is kind of funny, but I kind of feel for her at the same time.
