I had my first baby at 25 weeks, my second at 37 and the third at 38. I was worried that I would have another premature baby but I didn't. Anything after 36 weeks is acceptable.
Don't worry what will be will be.

Yep. And don't worry. Just check with your midwife that all is okay for your own peace of mind. I went into labour at 36.5 weeks and was in labout on and off for the next 3 weeks. Some contractions must have been Braxton Hicks (body practising) but the fact is a healthy baby usually comes when it's 'cooked' enough. They wanted to induce me because of the on and off labour but because my health was fine and baby wasn't showing any signs of distress I declined and said I'd wait (my waters had NOT broken). She's now a university student, delivered naturally and without a single stitch 20 years ago.Dates are always an estimate and probably within 2 weeks either way and a baby isn't premature unless it's six weeks early. Even then, I have one god-daughter born at 22 weeks who is currently taking her A-levels. Don't worry. 40 weeks is just the average.

i had my baby 4 weeks ago i was 34 weeks pregnant he spent 2 weeks in special care because he couldnt yet feed properly he could breathe on his own and everything he weighed 4 pound 11 and now after 4 weeks he weighs 5 pound 10! apart from being smaller than average his fine and healthy if you went into labour you most proberly could take your baby home and full term is 37 weeks plus so you only have another week good luck make the most of the peace!

I had my son at 32 1/2 weeks and he was in the NICU until he was 35 weeks gestationally. After 35 weeks the baby will have the sucking reflex and should have to spend minimal time in the hospital unless there are complications.

I was prem and my mom went into labour at 36 weeks...

What does your doctor say....any complications or warnings that he's given you?

Best advice is to stop worrying.....it does no good for you or your baby....

What will be, will be..... just so long as the baby is health and fine right?

I had my first son at 36 weeks but they had to induce me. For the first night he was in an incubator next to the hospital bed so that he didnt have to use all his energy keeping himself warm. After that they kept me in for a few more days and then I was allowed to go to my local hospital where I stayed another couple of nights and then I went home. My second came nine days before his due date.
Good luck with your birth and don't worry. You've done it before, it's easier the second time.

I went inot labour with my son at 34 weeks and was advised to go straight to the hospital by my midwife on arrival they did a scan to check that everything was ok with the baby. And managed to stop my labour.
Try not to worry too much for peace of mind phone your midwife

They consider 38-42 weeks as "term." My daughter was born at 35 weeks and she weighed 6 lbs. 6 oz. She was perfectly healthy. And still is, 15 years later!

My best friend just had her baby last week on a Thursday at 12:08am (at 36 weeks) and she and her baby went home Friday morning/noon. Her and her baby were very healthy and beautiful.
