You can't answer the question complelty with a yes or no because you did not clarify what you are refereing to as real.
Is it a real sport? Yes
Is it Scripted? yes but just like any live event things do not always go as planned - go to any play multiple times and even if there is the same cast no two shows will be identical
Are the matches predetermined as to who wins and how long it will take? Yes - again in the rare instance this does not always happen
is it entertainment? for some it is. Just like some people like some tv shows, books, movies, etc.

Yes - Its very very real. Are you telling me that Owen Hart's death, Sid's broken leg, Montreal Screwjob, Owen piledriving Austin (head 1st on canvas in 1998), Triple H & Steph McMahon wedding was fake?? Think again!
Everything is real life. Vince McMahon's death was only staged as he was tricking all the fans into thinking he was really dead. This means his intentions were "real"! Put yourself into the wrestlers position & how would you feel if you were squashed by Yokozuna on a Banzai drop? Or the Rock bottom? Or Tombstone? How would you like it if your quadraceps were torn?
When wrestlers show emotions (e.g crying) their tears are Real! Theres no liquid or water in their eyes! Kane & Undertaker are brothers "blood brothers".

I feel the outcomes and storyline are predetermined, and the moves aren't exactly real, because a pile driver would break your neck every time, but I do feel there is a good amount of pain felt during every match, just from being thrown around for roughly 20 minutes. It does take great strength and stamina.

Depnds on what you mean by real. The matches are scripted, the results are predetermined the feuds are fake but get in the ring and see how painful most of the moves are and tell me if it is real. (Some actually dont hurt but most do and hurt a lot)

Yes, I'm convinced that a wrestler hits the mat ,when they are body slammed, suplexed, or miss a body splash... OR hit the floor if a wrestler gets thrown out of the ring, pushed off the apron,or miss an aeriel assault....
I haven't figured out how a wrestlers misses a table, ladder or a chair ,when they get hit or land on them .....

lets see: 1. the storyline part means it's all script rivalries and stuff...
2. some injuries in WWE are real...
that makes it ... 60% scrippted 40%real but covered by the storylines

Not real. I mean, it's scripted, but I don't doubt that some of that stuff is painful and takes its toll after years. The know it really sucks. I really feel like it insults my intelligence. Fo' Realz.
