If Peace on Earth is to be attained it will take active commitment by the majority of it's inhabitants.

People yearn and want peace but in a passive manner, leading their routine lives daily. Some are really jealous that others have so much more peacefulness than them (e.g. living in a secured, prosperous and safe country with proper amenities and infrastructure.) so they become the people who seek to destroy the peace of others.

Jesus did not come to bring peace. He came to turn people against parents, and friend against friend. When you become a christian sometimes you have to dump family members who do not accept u anymore. Peace is for suckers who are scared to die in a nuclear war. Jesus said before he comes back the world will be an upheaval of war and attrocities.

It would be nice but I don't think it would last very long. People aren't perfect and they will always seek personal gain over peace for others.
