yes they are ok, I wear my real diamond earrings with my moms real pearls a lot, and I will to my debutante ball as well. But pearls might not be the thing top wear to prom, they might get broken or lost, i would go TOTALLY FAKE JEWELRY to prom!! experience! I bought a pair fo $75 fake earring to wear to prom and lost one on the dance floor and never knew it until i got home at like 4 am and they were heavy-jewelry is lost wayyyyyy toooooo much at dance to wear real, unless its ur weedding or a debutante ball (coming out ball).

You didn't specify on what occasion it will be worn but I would be wearing it with a simple dress making it the main attraction of my wardrobe. probably in a ponytailed hair, matching drop earrings a beautiful smile and CLEAN NAILS... :-)

I really think that one can wear whatever they please with diamonds... A nice crisp white dress shirt (button down) always looks classy, as does denim.
