Read vary vary well, but could not spell all that good?

yes, actually - i had a very bright advanced student who could read anything I gave to him. However, he couldn't spell to save his life. His parents finally had him tested for dyslexia.

YES! My son reads extremely well. When he was in 3rd grade he was able to read and comprehend material on a high school reading level. By the time he was 12 years old, he was reading and comprehending adult reading material with no difficulty. He also writes extremely well, as far as content goes, but his spelling is AWFUL! He is not an innate speller at all, so I told him that just means he has to put in some extra effort on spelling. He needs to THINK about how words are spelled, because some of what he misspells are just common, everyday words. And he needs to look up words to check the spelling, and always ask for someone to proof read anything he writes before turning it in.

yes could be the ability of catching the shapes of the letters, why not, it happens to most people
