Ok...I've taken a few pregnancy tests, and they've come up negative. I have a little bit of morning sickness in the morning, sometimes I feel nauseous throughout the day. My boobs hurt. I tried squeezing them a little bit this morning to see if they leak at all and they do. But the weird thing is that my hips hurt, some times worse than others. My boyfriend had suggested that maybe I am pregnant, but maybe its too early, or maybe it's ectopic. I've read up on ectopic pregnancies and also have a friend that went thru one and what I'm feeling doesn't seem the same. I called my Dr yesterday and had his assistant fax over to St. Joe's a requisition for blood work, but I'm thinking now that maybe I should also have an ultrasound requisition faxed over. Is it possible to be pregnant and just be too early to tell with a test yet? Or could it be ectopic? Thank you!

Ok...I was not the one that was giving anyone a thumbs down. This is the first time since i've posted anything that I was able to even look at responses. Don't assume anything when you don't know.

It is possible to be pregnant and have tests come up negative. I took two tests both came back negative when I was continuing to be really sick all the time I went to the doctor and found out I was two months pregnant. So you could be!! A blood test should tell you for sure

It's possible to be pregnant and it be too early. Do you know when your last period started? Or when you ovulated?

Have you had a baby before? I ask because sometimes if I squeeze my boobs, a milky looking clearish fluid will come out, and I read that it just happens in some women who have had a baby before. It's not an infection, but it's not a sign of pregnancy either.

If nothing comes up from the blood work, and your period hasn't come yet, I'd go see the doctor. He can do an ultrasound if he feels one is needed, and if not he can put you on birth control to regulate your cycle(unless you're trying to get pregnant of course).

Good luck, and I hope that whatever you want the outcome to be, that you get it. :)

Well, if you are infact pregnant, unless you have been pregnant for a few months, you should not be leaking ANYTHING out of you nipples.. You might wanna get that checked out.

If you are pregnant, I don't understand why you think it is ectopic, just becuase your hips hurt? That is totally normal. You get all kinds of aches and pains when you are pregnant. Have you missed your period? Or have you gotten it recently? or are you fixing to start? There is a possibiblty that you are pregnant and your pregnancy would not be the same as your friends, since every pregnancy is different. Just get the blod work done and see how it turns out. You might wanna get that leaking things checked out cause thats not good this early, unless you have been pregnant for a long time and didn't know it.

It can actually take longer for a home test to pick up the HCG hormone, so the above answer is not correct. Since the egg doesn't implant in the uterus it takes longer for the hormones to build up enough to be detected. A blood test can pick up the HCG hormone as early as 7-10 days after possible fertilization.
I just wanted to add that my OB/GYN told me that it is normal for women to leak clear fluid in early pregnancy, so don't let people tell you that just because they didn't that it isn't a pregnancy symptom!

i am 6 mos pregnant, and my boobs are huge!! and have NEVER leaked.. if you were very early, then your hips would not yet hurt because they have not yet spread, and are not carrying the weight of a baby, fluids, etc... you would have tested positive, even if it god forbid, WAS ectopic.. because you would still be producing HCG..

sounds to me like you may just be having psycho sematic symptoms.. a blood test would be the first step.. then if you have any hcg in your system.. then an ultrasound would be ideal

EDIT::
Giving everyone a thumbs down because they are telling you what is likely, and maybe not what you want to hear.. is not cool..

Even if it were ectopic you still would get a positive urine test.

Its totally common to be pregnant and not be able to trigger a home test early on. Go have your blood work done.

some times when it is earlier in the pregnancy the hcg hormone is not showing up strong enough to give you a home pregnancy postivie.....i would have the blood test done and go from there

your hips would not hurt, on etopic
your insides on each side/one side of your pelvic would hurt.
I had etopic, it is painful.
When was your last period?
Bloodwork will detect pregnancy, if the dr feels it may be etopic, he will order ultrasound

you left out one key sign of pregnancy. your period. is it due in a few days or late. you could be pregnant or about to start,

the fluid you squeezed out is not pregnancy thats an infection you dont leak colostrum until the 7th month at the earliest. so you my have an infection in your breasts or this could all be in your head. that happens to alot of women who want to be pregnant so bad that they convince themselves they are and thusly they have pregnancy signs like you. home tests are accurate when taken properly after your period is late if your late and negative you probably arent pregnant
