Isn't that the real issue? I know people point to some of the Ahmedinejad's ramblings, but remember, there are other people in that country who are powerful, he does not have unilateral control. Any threats to Israel is c*** waving, not a real serious threat.

Considering a war with the US, thats all just talk on Irans part, it lets their people celebrate and the what not. Israel on the other hand, is in the gun sights of Iran, and vice versa. I really dont think they are going to be having a love fest anytime soon. The first move on of those countries makes on the other, could be the last move they make. I feel for the middle east now, because if Iran is stupid and they do something to Israel, the Israelis are going to run roughshod over the middle east again, only this time they wont be giving anything back.

Didn't everyone say the same thing about Hussein and Israel? And what did Hussein do during the Persian Gulf War?

Now just suppose that Iran gets a nuke and with Syria's cooperation a method to deliver that nuke. Do you think Israel will just take the strike and do nothing in response?

And is Iran a threat to the US? Well considering we cannot drill for oil in this country and we have been attacked by crazies before, yes they are a threat.

They are trying to become the dominate power in the Middle East. This is not in the best interest of the US.They are likely to succeed, now that Iraq no longer has the power to check them, unless the US acts directly. If you recall the US backed Iraq in the Iran Iraq war in the 1980's. Most of the talk about Israel on both sides is a cover for power politics. The real issue is who controls the flow of oil form the Persian Gulf.

What does Israel have control over? Syria? No. Saudi Arabia? No. Egypt? No. They have Israel and the nations surrounding them (well not Iraq - you can thank Bush for that) want to kill them.

The Islamic Republic of Iran is like a "raccoon" with rabies. They foam at the mouth and can be dangerous if it bites you; but a good 12ga. shot gun (and Israel has a very good supply of shot-guns) will quickly take care of the problem... Look how quietly and surgically Israel just took out the Syrian threat.
It was a BIG message for Iran to be very very careful... Israel took out Saddam's nuclear plants on a nice quiet Sunday morning some years ago and they will take Iran out too if the "raccoon" gets any sicker...

Considering the fact that they are one of the #1 supporters and funders of radical Islamic groups, yes the Iranian regime is a threat to our security.
