Two excellent ones both available at http://download.com

Spybot Seek & Destroy and Ad-Aware SE.

Because the list of what is considered "spyware" is maintained by humans, their list vary slightly. So one may find something that the other misses. I normally sweep my PC once a week for spyware. I will use Spybot one week and Ad-Aware the next. Between them I have never had anything that could not be removed.

Some good, free antispyware programs you can download are...

SuperAntiSpyware (free)

Ad-Aware (free)
http://www.snapfiles.com/reviews/ad-awar...
SpyBot S&D (free)

(A security program is only effective if it updated with the latest definitions.
Updating will help provide protection against the most recently introduced security threats.)

Then clean up the clutter with...
CCleaner (free)

Free online scans, that will clean for you as well.

SPYBOT SEARCH AND DESTROY.
This guy said his girlfriend insisted he create a killer spyware and make it available to all. Nice gal! You can use it free, and are given an address (Ireland?) to send a donation, if you wish.
