I've had to when engaged in very long phone conversations, #1 only, though (and I cover the mouthpiece)! Sometimes you just have to! My fiance and I talked for nearly 10 hours on the phone one Saturday shortly after we met! If you're careful, no one need know what you're doing, but I don't make it a habit.
BTW, I don't text. If you want to talk to me, you can use the phone like a normal person. Otherwise, send me an e-mail, or here's a novel concept, write a letter!

Ewww....no! This is one of my biggest pet peeves! Especially at work! I can't believe ladies do this in my office. No one wants to hear your "business" on the other line. Gag!
