I'm not your average 19 year old college student. Instead of drinking, going to parties, and hanging out with lots of people, I am more into coming home to my dog and boyfriend, going out to dinner, and trying to finish school so I can have a baby like i've always dreamed of. If this a bad thing? I've heard plenty of times not to rush through college because it is the time of your life. But what if i'm not into any of that? I've tried to be . . but i'm not. I've felt guilty and felt like I don't have any friends . . but the truth is I dont really like any of the girls my age. I relate to people older than me. Besides feeling guilty because I have my mom making me feel like I am doing it all wrong and missing out, I think I am happy the way I am, atleast I hope . .
is the way I feel/think wrong ? ?

No you are not wrong. You need to do what makes you happy. In my eyes education comes first. You will have plenty of time once school is over to do whatever you want.Partying isn't all it's cracked up to be.People make a lot of stuiped mistakes while partying.Just follow your dreams, believe in yourself, hold your head up high, and be proud of what you have accomplished, you will go a lot further in life than most college students.GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds to me like you've got a good head on your shoulders and are doing all the right things. You are focused and know what you want down the road. I see absolutely nothing wrong with that.
Why should you pretend to be a partier when that is simply not who you are? Stay true to yourself. Don't let anyone ever tell you how or what to feel. Your feeling are your own, be true to them.
I find it funny your mother would encourage you to go out and party. I'll bet the majority of kids doing that have parents at home having fits over their grades and their behaviour.
Stick to what you know in your heart is right for you and you will be happy.

You can make yourself happy in any way you want. You don't have to adjust to another's perceptions of happiness. BUT, be aware that your perfect dream may not come about. Things happen in life and circumstances may prevent us from acheiving even the best laid plans. Try and be a little flexible so that you are prepared for whatever comes your way. It doesn't hurt to have friends.. they can reward you with many memories that you will treasure. Friendships don't have to mean going out and partying. You can certainly have friends that share the same interests as you.

I was the exact same way in college. I went to work every night and never partied. It kind of came back to bite me when I left college. I partied quite a bit because I finally felt like it was okay to.

It is important to go with your own flow. Do what makes you happy.

Just remember that your 20s should be yours. Down the line, you may regret you didn't spend more time with yourself before you started a family.....

I know how you feel and no... it's not wrong at all how you choose to live your life.. You know what you want in life and you know how to get it, so good for you.. your mum may see differently though.. She may be worried that in the future, you'll be sad/mad at the things you could have done, but didn't.. You have to see it from her view as well.. But you shouldn't feel bad.. Just keep doing what you're doing and stay happy.. Don't let everyone else rule your life =) and good luck!

personal decision...

if you are happy like that, then carry on...

if, however, you want to find out what you are missing with the party animals, give it a try sometime... then decide which works better for you... :D
