because technician said she was 100% sure , but this time the technician said it might be a girl because she couldn't see any bits, could she be right or shall I not take her word for granted, has anyone had any wrong results given before?

Scans are definitely not 100%. I have a friend who was told she was having a girl and out popped a boy. I was told I was having a girl but we will see. Good luck!

26 weeks

You're more likely to be told its a girl and find its a boy, then to be told its a boy and find later its a girl.

However, at 20 weeks the baby's genitals are completely developed and it would be incredibly hard to not see something, or to see something that wasnt there.

I dont know who I would trust in your shoes... honestly. I guess go with the more recent scan which said it was a girl, since the baby is more developed and the view should be better than before.

a lot of doctors are wrong. my neighbor was told by 3 doctors that she was having a boy. and a beautiful little girl popped out
if the girl is in a position where her toes are up.. it could look like a little boy area.. ya know
just be surprised and happy with a healthy baby
good luck

If she said it "might" be a girl, then no, I wouldn't set my heart on a girl. Usually they can tell the baby's a girl not just because there are no male parts, but because they can actually see the female parts. If she wasn't positive she was seeing female parts, then I would just be prepared for either gender!

They should never tell you that they are 100% sure, because they aren't!!
You won't know for sure until it comes out!! They told me that at least one of my twins was a girl. I knew they both were boys!!

Congradulation and i hope you have a healthy litltle baby!
