Hello Barbie,

In the Houses of Parliament, one thing you are not allowed to do is call an MP a liar. This does not apply to you or I.

I can give you one good reason why you should NOT believe him. He, like most country leaders are liars. No matter what their political party.

If you are rich or own an enormous corporation, you'll be fine, but if you are just a normal individual, forget it.

Just take a look at the manifestos of the parties who have won elections. See what they promised they would do if they get into power, and see how many of those promises have been kept.

Sorry but at 60 and having seen governments come and go all over the world I have become very cynical.

I find with every election I find it more and more difficult to survive.

Because he is no Tony Blair and if you have noticed in the past few months Gordon Brown has distanced himself from the Bush administration but still being pro American but saying to Bush Blair is gone and things will be differently.
Things have changed since since Tony Blair left No 10 Downing Street and I think Gordon wants to prove to the country that he can be a good Prime Minister and I think we should let him get on with the job and see what happens when his 1st anniversary comes around. Give him a chance let him prove he can do the job.
EDIT:- Londononline he is pulling our troops out of Iraq have you not seen the news I believe there is less than 5000 troops in Iraq right now doesn't that tell you something.
I believe we have to respect our troops and not damn them for doing a job they vollunteered to do I don't see you putting on a uniform and fighting alongside them.

What an *** ole! 10 years aiding and abetting Blair, robbing the entire UK population with creeping taxes, overseeing and allowing the uk to sink under the swell of Islam and immigration, letting law and order disintegrate, every form of social services overloaded, underfunded and unable to cope, countless other services like education ruined and the UK in every manner no more then a squalid pig sty - and hes got the nerve to say that!!

The sooner Scotland is a fully independant country the better.

You can keep all three "English Jocks" - Brown, Alan Hansen and Andy Gray.

He spoke the brave words of a royal leader and Britain's history is full of proof about it's desires. I don't know exactly what his mission has been but his words appear to reflect his confidence in his abilities to achieve success in his goals.Or ; His words go out before him into the world ,and the way will be made clear for his steps. At least they are desired will for words at work in the way of the world of words . The words mean allot when making an announcement to the world.

I can't give one reason ..........He was behind Tony Blair all the way and now all of a sudden he is reversing some of the decisions made...........Worrying........Mind you the conservatives were just as bad. Selling off everything, the strikes and collapse of the Unions.....We need a new party that has half an ounce of credibility.....And willing to halt this influx that is draining the country of any resources.........

Based on his and Blair's past record there is nothing I can say to you that will make you (or me) believe a word he says...sorry!

(besides...he is far too late for that as they both let Britain down a long time ago)

Gordon Brown is a politician, there is therefore no good reason to believe him ever! They're all liars.

Gordon Brown's speeches are trite and uninspired, he tells people what he thinks they want to hear and it's all nonsense when you analyse it.
