Lindsay Ann Hawker - the 22 year old teacher who was murdered in Japan six months ago. Her parents have campaigned tirelessly to find their daughter's killer. Today Lindsay Ann Hawker's father [who is from Coventry ] is standing outside of Heathrow Airport handing out leaflets to passengers flying out of the UK. They have also travelled back and forth from the UK to Japan at their own expense to try and bring the killer to justice.

What have Gerry and Kate McCann done in the search for their daughter? Oh sorry I forgot. They set up a fund, sat at home and watched the money multiple daily. My bad!!

The McCanns did some campaigning after the money rolled in to pay for it. Lindsay Ann Hawker's father is not being subsidised by the general public and is not waiting to set up a limited company before he does anything.

Caesar's wife - Really.. the McCanns do not know whether there is a body or not? That is news to the Portuguese police!
As for not comparing the two.. what an easy excuse that is for people like you. Are they incapable of getting off their fat backsides to go search themselves or do anything but beg for money. The money came in and now they have done nothing but enourage people to give them more. Have they once said "no more money, Stop now"? No..

Interesting... has anyone famous or loaded ran to their side and piled some cash on them?
Edit:
Correction...Caeser's Wife... he should have been in the place where she disappeared, but he wasn't was he. He was in the bar along the road filling his face with tapas and swigging back the wine... right or wrong?

The MCcanns have done nothing physically to find Maddie. They have just made money and let everyone else do the work. Lindsay parents show true grief and they are still pursuing justice to their own cost. They put the McCanns to shame .

I find the McCanns campaign disturbing. What sort of person organises online website shopping stuff, PR and spends time engineering headlines to be fed to media on a daily basis - even witnesses changing their statements every few weeks - to what end will all this serve?

Gerry is a delegator. As his blog has documented, he has been very busy on the computer and talking on the phone (most likely at the pool side).
Mr. Hawker is a parent who puts his child before his ego.

I know a lot of people might say this is different because they have a body to bury, they know their daugther is dead but I've been thinking about this (not to hard becasue it's the worst thing in the world to think of) If I knew one of my children was dead, that is without doubt the most terrible thing you could face, but is it, if you thought for one moment your child was still alive and had been for over 100 days at the hands of paedophiles - I don't know, I'm thinking in my mind, rightly or wrongly that this would be worse and I couldn't even imagine what must go through the mind of a parent who thinks this is the fate handed to their child.
If I had been wrongly accused of killing my own child and I knew that my child was dead I might very well sit on my backside and prepare my defence, but the thought of being wrongly accused of killing my child but in my mind knowing they could be going through that torture - there is no way I would be thinking about sitting back and letting them put up with it for a second longer. I would spend ever penny offered to me for my defence on finding my child, I would not be caring for one moment about the possibility of facing life in prison if I knew I had a family behind me that would look after my other children.
Having a body seems to me to be the easier of the two to cope with. There is, eventually, some peace afforded by death. If this womans father is going to this extent to see justice for his daugther, I can only presume those in the other boat would be doing far more.

Mr.Hawker is a man of courage and dignity.
the McCann's are simply playing off people's sympathies and bank accounts for profit.

In all honesty the McCanns did do alot of campaigning and publicising their daughters image.
The father of Lindsay just moved me to tears on the news, poor man. I hope he finds his answers.
Gerry could never move me to tears, he is cold.

Mr Hawker has a body to bury. He knows he his looking for a killer.
Mr McCann doesn't even know where to start looking. He was in the place where she disappeared. (Remember the outcry here when people were abusing them for staying in Portugal and implying they were on holiday. No one has accused Mr Hawker of holidays in Japan.)
The money began to pour in immediately after Madeleine disappeared. They didn't have to wait for it. And they were working with the police.
Why compare two tragedies, just to justify some deep inner need you have? Both parents have lost a daughter. Have you no compassion?
People like me? Do you know me? Do you know anything about me?
You make a lot of assumptions, without knowing the facts. If the Portuguese police have evidence, let them arrest the McCanns.
As for your question: according to you the answer should be that you believe the main difference between the two is that one set of parents are murderers. I believe in "innocent untilproven guilty", which I think is a pretty civilised way to be.
