I like Aeropostale clothes, but I think a lot of them look like they are for middle school aged people. I have an interview at Aero tomorrow and I am supposed to dress like I would dress while working there. What Aero clothes can I wear that won't make me look really young?

I am 21 years old, but I look more like I'm 16. I don't want to be discriminated against because I look young.

Sneakers or sandals

What to try:
Sweaters, vests

Classic cut jeans
Low-profile accessories and just a few of them
Classic colors -- navy, black, chocolate brown, white, cream
Dressier shoes -- maybe boots

Is there a requirement that says employees or prospective employees have to wear Aeropostle clothing? I would think not. Observe the clerks that already work there. How are they dressed? I wouldn't worry about being discriminated against because you look young. It'll probably be a plus for you. And remember...discrimination is against the law :) Good luck

well, you don't have to wear aero clothes just becaues your working there. ( although you do get a discount) and i wouldnt worry about how old you look. ever time i go in there the employees all look pretty young.

You answered your own question in the question itself. The clothes in these stores (Hollister, Aero and places like it) are designed and marketed to the middle school/high school crowd. There is nothing you can do to change that. They are not "business professional" and never will be.
