I see three answers.
Logically impossible; neutral effect. Impossible for 1 + 1 to equal 3.
Extremely motivational and/or mentally challenging if external; positive effect. A 100 lb. woman was told it was impossible for her to bench press 200 lbs. She proved them wrong.
Absolutely defeatist if internal; negative effect. Tell yourself something is impossible and what are the chances you'll bother with an attempt?
(I put double-sided tape on this answer so it should stick)

I have learned what my mind (and every other humans) can do. I was in a crash 5 years ago, we were on motorbike, young girl in car headed straight for us. I knew there was no way we could get out of the way, and as i sat there watching the car aimed at me, i felt (all in split second i imagine, but seemed to be slow motion) a tingling start at my waist and travel and cover my whole leg so that by the time the car hit my leg it was already numb. I watched the car hit then bounce back from my leg, but was totally fascinated by the fact that i didnt feel it, then the rest of the accident and trauma kicked in. I had heard of this happening, but never really believed it, until i had experienced it myself. I still am fascinated by what happened. The mind is truly amazing.

I'm sure a lot for most people, me personally I am a firm believer that anything is possible, I have a very open-minded outlook on life, so to me I always think of the possible not the impossible.

Its always a negative because you right off the bat are saying you can not or its not possible.................
There is no hope in this word no dreams no joy that things will get better ...............
it puts you on a negative frequency vibration and only more negative things will come your way so instead of impossible say everything is possible because I believe that God will help me in my quest to achieve the life of great self actualization :)))))) peace out

It may be as powerful as possible. I would rather equate the possibility with impossibility on the basis of dualism.
Thank you for the question. Have a wonderful day!

As much power as not believing in yourself. The power of believing that nothing is impossible gives endless opportunities to try many experiences until you find one that you're really good at.

Very little. The word is more of a callenge than a limit. We routinely do things that were once labelled impossible.

An incredible power.
If you believe that something is impossible, you won't even try. If you believe that something is impossible, you won't even try to think of solutions.
Such a belief is a source of great suffering.
Anything is possible, probable is another matter.
