As I determined at an earlier point.... Humphrey was the creator of God. Humphrey... being eternal^2 and omnipotent^2 .... is quite possibly invisible^2 as well... and thus I imagine God doesn't believe in him.
As such... I'd imagine God is probably demanding so much attention from peoples here on this planet because he never got enough attention... (and because he is still a child for our definition of eternity, as the Old Testament demonstrates) ...
... and ironically, as a bad habit picked up from Humphrey (whom he never sees), he never lets us see him either.
Then again, I'd imagine Humphrey picked up his bad habits from Nigel (creator^3).

Do you really believes that God lacks attention. Have you seen how many questions and answers are just in R&S that relate to God.? I would be thinking that He would really prefer a little less attention.
