We all have candida in our bodies. Thrush is caused by an overproduction of candida. Yogurt is recommended as a treatment for thrush because the acidophilus in yogurt helps to restore the natural balance of candida (yeast).
However, sugar creates MORE yeast so eating fruit yogurt won't help thrush and it may make it worse. If you don't like plain yogurt, try taking an acidophilus tablet. You can find it at your local grocery or drug store with the vitamins.

Not any kind of thrush . Yoghurt is more effective for the INTESTINAL type of candidiasis (thrush) than the type that affects the MOUTH (oral candidiasis) which is more common .
And not ANY Youghurt . The microorganisms in Yoghurt (some types at least) that ARE ALIVE compete with the fungus of thrush (candida albicans) for food , and thus the thrush is gradually starved and disappears .

No, because the sugar would feed the yeast infection further. They are talking about plain yogurt for trying to treat a yeast infection.
But I would recommend seeing your doctor for further evaluation to have them confirm or deny if it's a yeast infection going on.
