Never heard about pista before but Almonds (badaam) are the best for memory boosting, even the studies claim that. Try this:
Take a small mug, glass, dish (katori), fill it with water, put 10-20 almonds (depending upon the age of your kid) and let it be there throughout the night. In the morning, strip the almond (take out the chilka), and give it to your kid with Honey. Do not forget the milk.
You should also consider giving moral support to your kid to boost their self-confidence.
Hope this helps.

i read an article that said chewwing gum before and during a test improves a childs test scores. Some teachers don't allow it, but chewing gum opened up the children in the studies memories and helped them focus. Oh and pretending to chew gum doesn't work, they tried it in the study

I think that you should encourage healthy eating, lots of water, a few early nights and they should be in the right shape for exams. Studying also helps, lol!
I have heard that fish oil is good for children and concentration also. you can buy it in tablet form in the chemist or supermarket.

A healthy diet, some exercise and enough sleep. And not just during exam time either - ALL the time.

Baidyanath's "Shankhapushpi" can be given. it is a aayurvedic medicine. to relive stress, you can massage the head by some hair-oil (Mahabhringaraj oil / oil with Bramhi). And it is not the Pista but Almond (baadam). soak the one piece of baadam in water over-night and next day ask your child to eat it with nice chewing and one cup of milk on it. if he is not willing to eat soaked baadam, baadam oil is available in market (medicine shops) - rogan baadam shirine. add two drops of oil in milk and ask him to drink that.
