I think it's fine. It's how the woman treats me that counts. Not who asked who first or who made the first move.

I know, though, that some girls/women use it as a test. If the guy does not have enough courage to ask them out or to make the first move, then the guy doesn't have enough courage for them to be interested in him.

I wish someone had told me that when I was 12 y/o. Of course, the fact is, that guys that are shy may have plenty of courage in the other important areas of life.

we shouldnt have to wait. we all should only wait if we're willing to. if you really like a guy, go for it! if your not sure, wait. if your afraid, go ahead and wait. but if your feeling risky, ask. guys and girls arent completely equal yet, but guys might be just as nervous as we are, and i really respect the girls who make the first move.

Respect her. a lot of girl's (not all) are always going on about how we are living in modern times and that men and woman are now equal. but when comes to things like this they still expect the men to do all the work.

well, i think it's more along the lines of what ever happens, happens. i've asked a guy (ok, only to the prom, but close enough =P ), and i know other girls who have, but it really depends on if you're willing to wait or not =D
