I am from Iran. and I nearly finished learning English. So I want to know what other language I should learn that is easy.
They say that French is hard. I like Spanish my self! Any suggestions?

Hello Kiaa,

If you like the Spanish language and you want to learn another, go for it.

The good thing about Spanish is that like English it is spoken in many parts of the world.

My personal favourite languages are German and French.

French has always been considered the 'language of love'

Good luck with any other language(s) you decide to learn.

Yes, Spanish is good (though I wouldn't say it's easy - you'll find that all languages are complex when you dig deep enough). French is not hard, but the pronunciation of words is completely different. Actually, it might be a good idea to learn a bit of Latin, which will help a lot with French, Spanish, Italian and others which have Latin toots. You might even improve your understanding of English words, and that goes for native speakers as well. Good luck!

I would say German; it is very useful to work in the European Union and, unlike French or Spanish, it is a Germanic language and therefore easier to learn for someone who already speaks English like you... Also, you have to take on account that France and Germany have a bigger Iranian community (I think) than the Spanish-speaking world.
I would also recommend you, as a personal challenge (if you like languages), to learn the reconstructed Indo-European language, so that - speaking English and Persian - you learn an old language ancestor of both of them, and, by the way, you have it easier to learn more Indo-European languages. There are lots of resources out there, but let me spam a little bit and recommend you this free ebook on Indo-European http://dnghu.org/en/Indo-European%20grammar/

Sure! Go with Spanish. It isn't a difficult language to learn. It's already our second language in the US, and it's growing. Besides, knowing Spanish will automatically lead to Italian and to most of the European romance languages as well.

The grammar of French and Spanish are fairly similar, although perhaps Spanish is marginally easier. Spanish is probably more useful.

Spanish.
I could never learn either, but it seemed as though if I would have been able to learn one of them, Spanish would have been a little easier.
