I'm just so depressed I can't even get out of bed, & I pray every day to be better & stronger. My excessive absences due to depression are affecting my grades. & my depression is affecting my health & I'm not motivated enough to study, eat healthy, nor exercise. Getting out of bed to go to the bathroom is a chore for me. I just don't have any energy. I'm lying on my matress on my laptop. & also, I find that I can't sleep @ night & finally fall asleep an hour before I'm supposed to get up for school. I already have my college degree, but I'm taking extra classes to help boost my GPA, but it's not working because of my depression. I feel like I'm so hard on myself & I'm stressing myself out more than I need to. I really need help. & mental health professionals are making my mental health worse instead of better. Meds never work for me, even on high dosages, & people think I'm just not taking them, when I am.

You know, I have been in that place. That same exact place. The biggest thing I did was once I had a nervous breakdown I went talked to a counselor. That didn't really work for me but it motivated me to help myself more. Once I actually got out of bed, I tried to stay super busy so that I couldn't really go back to that place, and then I'd be very tired by the time I went to bed, so then I'd actually fall asleep. Once I got some sleep I started feeling better and had more energy. The more energy I had, the more things I got accomplished, the more things I got accomplished the better my self esteem was, etc. etc. I hope you get better! I know it's a dark place, I never want to go back there.

Maybe try counseling and see if it works for you. Just because it didn't for me, doesn't mean it won't for you.

I'm not sure what can motivate you, but I do know that if you don't deprive yourself of all things yummy that you like, then you won't be as likely to go completely off your diet when you have something fattening to eat. You should allow yourself one little thing that you like every day......I saw a diet once that was called "A donut a day, mile a day diet" (you can eat a donut, but always walk at least a mile). That way you're not totally depriving yourself, & you're still getting exercise. And you will be less likely to binge for a whole month! Good luck!

You should definitely get a counsellor of some sort. This sounds like a very serious problem. Also to get you motivated think of what the outcome will be if you don't do the things you should. Such as getting help. I know many people who don't take meds to cure there depression just a good friend and a good counsellor.

Good luck
