A few years back I had the most severe stabbing pain at the top right of my head that went on for more than 2 weeks in severity and then was subdued in intensity but persisted for longer. It did eventually go away as a persistent and severe pain but I have had a trickle effect from this ever since, mostly in the same spot but not always. I feel my memory has deteriorated, both short-term and long-term. Is there a connection. I know I should sought medical advice the first time around but now I feel stupid to do so.

Also, whenever I have had the stabbing pain, this has left me with a sore face around my eye and sometimes jaw, sometimes sweeping across the other side of my face.
Any doctor who can offer suggestions as to what this might be.
Thanks.

I'm not a doctor, but I strongly suggest that you see one. Your symptoms could cover any number of things, and only testing will discover the underlying issue.

Please don't subject yourself to unnecessary pain . . .

Best of luck . . .

I have experienced something like this and it turned out to be a cyst in my right sinus cavity. I had to have x-rays and a brain scan done to get this diagnosis, and I don't know why but I've felt a lot better since, the only real side effect I've had lately is a blood nose, but only on the right hand side. You can also get sinus infections. So please go and see another Doctor, you'll probably feel better once you get a diagnosis, cause I sure did.

Migraine can be something to cause some of these symptoms. I would recommend seeing your doctor for further evaluation to see what they think is going on.
