"And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high
God. And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and
earth: And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave
him tithes of all."
Genesis 14:18-20

Hebrews 7:1-4
Is this God's brother? Is this God's cousin? Is this a completely different God? For these are certainly
divine attributes. According to the Bible in our hands today, Jesus (pbuh) had a beginning (he was
"begotten"), and an end "he gave up the ghost" (Luke 23:46). This mighty being, however, is alleged to
have had neither. It is stated plainly here in the Bible, that he was "made like unto the son of God." Why
do they not worship him then? The church now will allege that Jesus peace be upon him was "begotten"
by God. Tell us what you mean when you say "begotten." What did God Almighty do to "beget" Jesus
(pbuh)? Further, if Jesus (pbuh) was "begotten," but Melchisedec who was "made like unto the Son of
God," was not, then does this not make Jesus (pbuh) a "son of God" but Melchisedec an independent
god with neither offspring nor parents? Is a god with no parents not greater than one who needs parents?
Where is Melchisedec now?
From these verses we get the following picture:
1. Melchizedec is equal to the Son of God
2. Melchizedec's ministry is eternal
3. Melchizedec, unlike Jesus (pbuh), is an independent god, with neither father nor mother.
4. Melchizedec, unlike Jesus (pbuh), was never "born" or "begotten" but was ever present.
5. Melchizedec, unlike Jesus (pbuh), will never die but is eternally without death.
6. Everything but God has a beginning of days. Even air, water, and food have a beginning of days.

Your thinking is very limited and confused.

Isaiah 45:5 says, I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me ...

And Isaiah 44:6 Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.

Melchizedek therefore cannot be another god.

The gospel is hidden and prefigured in the Old Testament. God has ... declared the former things from the beginning; and they went forth out of my mouth, and I shewed them; I did them suddenly, and they came to pass.
Because I knew that thou art obstinate, and thy neck is an iron sinew, and thy brow brass.

Melchizedek is a figure or type who prefigures Christ to show that Christ is a priest of an eternal and unlimited ministry, not limited to mere humanity or to the Ministry under the Law.

The details of Melchizedek are therefore deliberately shrouded in mystery in order not to compromise that prefigurement. He is not equal to The Son of God nor is he a god and the details of his birth and death are deliberately omitted to better represent him as a type of Christ. Hebrews 7/4 specifically names Melchizedek as a man.

God gives us pictures to illustrate the truth.

Just as Isaac prefigures Christ but yet in no way is equivalent to Christ. Abraham was led to have the faith that Isaac was to be offered and raised from the dead as a prefigurement of Christ. Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad, John 8/56.

Since it was not Isaac but only Christ that could accomplish forgiveness of sins and salvation, God intervened to spare Isaac. God thereby gave us a picture of Christ and what He was do. By this we have God's testimony and can be certain to recognise and identify Christ as the Son of God and the only Saviour, the promised One.

The Old Testament is literally full of such pictures. When your eyes are opened then you will know for a certainty.

Christ was ordained as Son on the day of His resurrection as Acts 13/33 declares. God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee.

We are further informed that,
Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:
And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.

Christ is and always has been and will be the Son of God but God has declared Him to be so by His resurrection from the dead.

You say that according to the Bible in our hands today Jesus had a beginning and an end but you are incorrect. Scripture plainly states otherwise,
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this. Isaiah 9,

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The same was in the beginning with God.
All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made ... And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
John 1,

And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:
I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. Revelation 1/17-18,

and Christ is recorded as saying , Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am., which only God can say.
There are many other Scriptures in both the Old and New Testaments that establish this

That Christ took on human nature to enable Him to accomplish salvation for us is evident from,
Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.
Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people, Hebrews 2

And, Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father, Phillipians 2.

You lack understanding because you do not have revelation from God and so are left bereft with your own thoughts and reasonings which are not the truth.

You need to humble yourself and seek God that He might be merciful to you and that He might show you Himself.

You do well in that you are handling His word but you need it to be opened to you by Him, not by man.

And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.

And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.
Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,
And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:
And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

Luke 24.

I wish you well.

1. Melchizedec is equal to the Son of God
- Where do you get that a man (king or priest if only one person) is equal to Jesus?
2. Melchizedec's ministry is eternal
- Again, where are you getting this?
3. Melchizedec, unlike Jesus (pbuh), is an independent god, with neither father nor mother.
- Are you kidding me?
4. Melchizedec, unlike Jesus (pbuh), was never "born" or "begotten" but was ever present.
- Melchizedec was born, just like every other huan being....
5. Melchizedec, unlike Jesus (pbuh), will never die but is eternally without death.
- Um, wrong.

Melchizedec was possibly 2 people, a Priest and a King. But even if it ws only one man, he was still just a man in power at the time.

Oh, and (pbuh) is not an acronym that need be attributed to Jesus - save it for your prophet. Jesus isn't dead, so there is no need to send him "peace" in that fashion.

The way the Bible talks about Melchisedek you must understand original language.

Melchisedek was both a priest and a king. But was not from the Levite line----which means that in the records of priests his birth nor his death was recorded. Jesus was not a Levite as well, and therefore had no recorded beginning or ending of days---Jesus is also both a priest and a king, and those are the only similarities between Jesus and Melchisedek. Melchisedek was a human born with a sin nature just like everyone else. Jesus was born free of the sin nature passed down through man, by being virgin born.

Melchisedec, as it says, was made like unto the son of God. This was because he was a type and shadow of Christ, being the one that blessed Abraham because without contradiction the less is blessed of the greater.

And also because he did not come from the order of Aaron, Aaron not having been born yet, Melchisedec is made like unto Christ, who did not come from the order of Aaron but is prophet, priest, and king, all three.

"whose name is the LORD"- except when you see the LORD, usually in small caps, the actual word in the original Hebrew is YHWH, which is not a true name, but a description. The KJV writes Jehovah for this, which is a Greek sort of translation for the original Hebrew that the translators of the KJV kept (for some reason). So, this passage really does not say God's actual name in fact, but the "I Am/Was/Will Be Who I Am/Was/Will Be" written in Hebrew as YHWH.

Melchizedek is what is known as a "type" of Christ. A "type" is a foreshadowing figure that has similarities to a future figure.

Jesus' ministry is the eternal one.

Psalms 110:4 The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.

When the Scriptures says that Melchizedek was "Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God" the author of Hebrews is using the scanty record of Melchizedek found in the Bible to make his point about Jesus.

When you read the Bible you have to look for the author's intended meaning otherwise you may end up inserting your own thoughts into the passage and missing what the author was trying to convey. The book of Hebrews was written to encourage Jewish converts to Christianity by telling them about the better covenant and better priesthood they had through Jesus.

The author was using Scripture to show that Jesus was the promised Messiah. He was not trying to add to the scanty record in the Bible about Melchizedek to get his readers to think that Melchizedek was a "god" or somehow above Jesus.

Hebrews 1:3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

4 Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. 5 For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee?...

(Psalms 2:7 I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee. 8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. 9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel. 10 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth. 11 Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling. 12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.)

....And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? 6 And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him. 7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire. 8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. 9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.

Psalms 45:6 Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre. 7 Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
