Actually its usually not the GOD that is questioned, its the method of belief. The God of the Christians, Jews, and Muslims is the same god anyway (came from same area, refer to each other, the muslim book even mentions many of the bible figures including the angel Gabriel and Jesus)
And many other religions have no god. And many consider their god to be represented by many pieces which tends to allow for other peoples gods to exist as "other incarnations of the one god".
But I agree with your feelings in the question. I have a problem with any religion that says "our way is up and everyone elses way is down". Somehow I just cant picture God operating that way.

The Judeo-Christian God is the best fit for the God you would think is there. He would have to be a personal intelligence if He created all things and ordered all the complexities. He would have to be infinite and multi-dimensional if He made space, time, matter, and energy. He would have to be all powerful within the context of the universe since He made it all. He would have to be good to create beauty, love, tastes that are pleasing, etc. The level of personal care and complexity would lead one to believe that He would communicate with mankind and He did Personally, and through Prophets, and Jesus, and the Bible, and the Holy Spirit.
It stands to reason that if Absolute Mind created ideas to creatures who could perceive them that He would communicate with them. There is no validated entity as this God and none like Him. Eastern mysticism doesn't really have a "god" in the sense of a personality so it implies only that some impersonal power of force exists. An impersonal power or force cannot create order or some sort of reincarnation plan; those would be products of a personality which those belief systems do not have.
The attributes of God that I described are not like man made gods but rather attributes you would infer to the Being that is there if there would be one. He is not like a man in the sense of Greek gods but Unique and different and to be sought out.

God's consistency. He has been around since the beginning of time and before, people have believed in Him for millenia and He has not changed. There are many "god's" which come and go and have never delivered on their "promises" and die away.
I am remembering the story of Baal. Nothing happened when the people wailed, and danced, and struck their own bodies etc imploring Baal to light the fire. Yet God answered when He was asked, despite the fact that everything was damped down to an inch of its life!
Truth will persist and withstand the passage of time. Other things only last as long as it suits man, and when it does not, someone comes along and changes the rules!

As far as Deities go, the Christian God has proven in history through countless prophesies fulfilled that This God is God. Also the acts of the Christian God are considerably more documented than any other religion. The Christian God deals with ALL of humanity's beginnings and dispersion. This God declares that He is the One TRUE God. The real issue here is whether or not people who say they worship God truly seek God with their heart. A person's religion may play a minor role in God's eyes since God searches the heart and is able to "know" who is really trying to establish a relationship with Him. But make no mistake about it, the Christian God IS God although Christians have not always behaved themselves. But in the end we Christians have to answer not only to God put to everyone when we do things counter to what Jesus teaches us.

enable's commence with Christ's ministry. He replaced into all proclaiming the gospel and affirming he replaced into the son of God (making him God, see the trinity). properly, that both makes him a liar, a lunatic, or Lord. If he replaced right into a liar, his claims were pretend and he knew it. If he replaced right into a lunatic, his claims were pretend and he did not understand it. or you would possibly want to pass with Lord, and say that his claims were authentic. Now, enable's communicate about the resurrection of Jesus Christ. formerly you pass and say that the resurrection did not take position, enable me only say that categorical, the Apostles might want to have made each little thing up, besides the undeniable fact that it wasn't only the Apostles who talked about a resurrected Jesus. and then, thee's the idea the position Jesus survived the crucifixion ... HA! Romans practiced crucifixion and they were experts at it. they could've worry-free if he survived or no longer. Plus, crucifixion suffocates you. and then human beings might want to have hallucinated the entire element. properly, did you understand that hallucination is someone adventure no longer something 500+ human beings adventure without caution. Oh, and extremely last of all, someone resurrecting from the useless only wasn't an effortless or organic element for that count number. wish I helped slightly. Jesus is God, and the resurrection does no longer have handed off to someone who replaced into only "a sturdy guy." Plus, the international known even as there replaced right into a large bang?!?!?! Yeah, it is totally in all probability. *eye roll* No offense to those who believe interior the tremendous Bang.

Well, the amazing thing about the Christian Triune God (Father God, Christ Jesus and the Holy Spirit) that makes Him REAL and SEPARATES Him from all other lesser deities is that as you develop a spiritual relationship with Him, He will audibly "SPEAK" to you and "ANSWER" you with a REAL VOICE, because He is a SUPERNATURAL PERSONHOOD. The only thing you will hear from all the other "gods" (lower case is intentional)... is DEAD SILENCE, because they simply do not exist. It's that simple, and this has been the case throughout all history as documented in the encounters between the Judeo-Christian God and his earthly agents and prophets as recorded in the Holy Scriptures. This will not change.

It isn't that other "gods" are unreal - I think the idea is that staues etc., are not gods. We have been encouraged to accept that God is of one source and being, even though people of different cultures choose to express their devotion in a variety of ways. Mohammed (peace be unpon him), asks Muslims to respect all peoples who follow a holy book of truth. Since today, most of the major religions have at their heart, a holy book, then we must accept that we all essentially believe in one God; it's just we tend to value different aspects of God. For example, Hindu's & Buddhists, believe God is vegetatrian, whilst Jews, Christians & Muslims believe God eats meat. For a very long time, many religions believed God delighted in sacrificed humans!
In the end, all these beliefs are a distraction from the true evolution of the concept of God within humanity; a concept which has evolved into a caring, compassionate and above all, intelligent entity, whose purpose is to guide humanity (no matter what their cultural baggage) toward a happier & physically/psychologically healthier future.
We today mostly agree that God is first & foremost, kind & merciful. Since a belief in God is meant to encourage humanity to be "like" God, it seems that we too, must learn the ways of kindness & mercy, that we must not get into arguments about which God is real. The only thing that's presently real is humanity's desire for wealth & power and pursuit of these has led to sharp divisions amongst the global population, as various contenders for power have used the concept of God to their own ends and persuaded men to fight against one another on their "god's" behalf.
The Pagan concept of God is actually just as valid as present-day concepts, whereas the Roman gods were represented by statues/effigies which demanfded a temple and gifts of scarifice. Furthermore, these so-called gods, often exhibited the very worst aspects of human nature; constantly at war with one another, they're shown regularly to be suffering the burdens of anger, hatred & jealousy. All such entities reflect the evolution of the human mind - as even Hindu texts reveal a variety of gods all fighting for power. Krishna represents an end to such battles as he ventures into this heavenly conflict by siding with the highest human attributes of mercy & compassion even for other creatures; Krishna is actually a Jesus or Mohammed type figure and all three were active and largely successful in abolishing the baser concepts of God. We also have Buddha, who too, attempted to bring a more enlightened and kinder understanding of God to humanity.
The question should be not which God is real, but which human understandings of God are worthy of respect.

Technically Allah and god are the same person, it's just an alias. He's probably got the same origin as the Hindu Vishnu (creator). Buddhists don't really worship deities, they're just as trapped in the cycle of life as humans.
They're all made up, take your pick. You may as well pray to the tooth fairy.

Well all religions have their exclusivists but Christians are so used to calling Jehovah 'God' that they forget this is simply an equation. Many Christians simply believe their religion has come directly from God and is not just the religion that comes from Jehovah and equates Jehovah with God.
