I have had my bird since saturday ( i live in singapore so today is tuseday) He's a hand fed lutino pearl and he already know step up but sometimes he'll fly off me for no reason and land on something like a chair or my hamock but he's ok being on my finger. Anyway i was just wondering if that was normal. Also recently when he sits with me in our computer room he will sometimes close the eye closest to me but keeps the other open. I was wondering if this is normal so ya. Other than that he seems absolutly healthy.

I should have added that he will open his eye if i touch his head and he also keeps it closed some of the time whilst preening. I know he is not blind in that eye because he reacts to my hand when i put it close to him.

You're bird is completely fine. That is all normal behavior.

Well if it is the same eye all the time then maybe you should have that checked... But if he switches eyes than he is fine, just resting.

Regarding him randomly flying off you, my lorikeet does that too. He may just be inquisitive.
