Generally you are limited to changing your MOS, at the time of your first reenlistment.

But some times, it is possible to change your MOS at other times.

First you would need to be in an over manned MOS, and then you would need to reclass into an under manned MOS.

IE: if your MOS is under manned, generally they are not gonna let you reclass.

They might do so, at your first reenlistment, but thats the only time they wouyld do so.

They will never let you reclass into an over manned MOS, since they already have to many people in that MOS.

You will also have to have the asvab scores needed to qualify for any MOS, you want to reclass into.

Your units career advisor, can tell you if your MOS is over manned and what MOS's are under manned, and if you would be allowed to reclass into one of those.

You can't change your mos until your last fiscal year of your enlistment. You basically have to reenlist and if your mos is full, you can pick an mos that is available. There are exceptions to this rule. If you are going to do a lateral move into Counter Intel, EOD, MSG, Recon and other undermanned mos, you can do a lat move after 2 years but you will still have to reenlist for about 4 years.

the answer is: maybe. you won't be allowed to if the one you are in is undermanned, and you will only be allowed to choose from a list they provide you.
