i just got checked for std's and everything came back normal/negative. but arent there some std's that you can only get tested for by having your blood tested? i read online that siphilis can only show up in blood screening so im curious.

Depends on what they checked for--HIV, Herpes, Chalmydia, all need to be checked by blood for antibodies also HCV(hepititis C) yes that is considered a STD because it is transfered by blood and /or body fluids. I would specifically ask what they checked you for-you need to know now!! not later and use a condom-it can't hurt and will help!

You should also watch for the ones that a blood test and pap test cant find such as, Herpes and HPV (warts). Those are external STD's that lie dormant in the outter layer (and can lie internally) in your skin. Unfortunately there is no way to test for them.
If I were you I would abstain or stay in a monogamous relationship. No one is 'safe' anymore.

Screaning? Isnt' it a shame that you can get an std check, but you can't use a spellcheck.

Don't know the answer to that but go to www.webmd.com for all of your medical questions. It is a great site and you can get an answer to anything there.
