i dont know if you can get them to stop it, but i know you can get plastic teeth covers that they can wear while sleeping, a bit like the retainers you wear after having braces, so it doesnt wear down the teeth.

You do not need to stop her from grinding her teeth (not yet anyway) by making a big deal of it you will actually cause her to do it more often..
Take heart
Most children between ages of 1-4 grind teeth for a few months..it stops naturally
It does no permanent damage to there adult teeth and rarely interferes with there baby teeth
They usually grind ther teeth cause of the noise and feel of it (especially if they were taken off a soother)
Let your dentist know about he behavior during a visit and when you child is 5 if they are still doing it you can ask about a mouth guard to prevent it/stop it
Good luck

baby's grinding his/her teeth because he/she is teething.
can get him/her to stop by giving a cold(not frozen) teething ring to kinda chew on.
try rubbing a little bit of baby orajel on his/her gums too.

This site should be able to help you out: http://urltea.com/1krv?teethgrinding
Though it covers exercises for grown-ups, you should be able to customize it for your baby as well. In most cases, if you know the root cause, the treatment options are generally flexible. Most babies, though, naturally grow out of it.
