If the meal you ate was healthy (ex. salad), then you dont have to worry about it much. But if you ate unhealthy foods (ex. fast foods) then the fat, grease, and oil from the food will accumulate inside your stomach. It is best to eat a big breakfast, or lunch, since you will be moving the entire day. The bad thing about it accumulating is that since the body is mostly not moving, it will turn the excess grease into fat, which will be bad for your body. Its best to eat a big meal, exercise a bit (walking, jogging), then go to sleep.

If U just eat a light meal before going to sleep that ain't problem because Ur digestive system will work easily and quickly ( properly about 30 minutes) therefore that wont harm u. Whereas if U eat a big meal......Ur digestive system cant work quickly with a big stuff ( meat, chicken or ....) so when U fall in sleep Ur body need to relax but because Ur food still need to digest, so Ur body cant really relax.... that's really harmful. So the best thing is only having a light meal before going to sleep and about a half of hour before u go to sleep.

There is a belief that eating a big meal before going to sleep will cause you to have a bad dream. Apart from that, it would cause all the food to be stored as fat. In the morning, you would feel very hungry and want to eat a big portion for breakfast, which is also not good for us who are watching our weights.

Okay hold on, let me dispel that myth. You can eat anything before going to sleep as long as it is still part of your regular diet (ex. If you ate 3 hamburgers in one day, it is okay to eat 2 during the day and 1 before u go to sleep). The only thing is that you have to let it digest for at least 1 and a half hours before going to sleep. Otherwise, all that food in your stomach will turn to fat because your metabolism basically goes to zero when u sleep.
SO- just wait 1.5 hours.

You probobly could do it when your young, but that doesn't fly in middle age. You can't sleep, period. It is bad to start this habit. For me I can handle my weight if I eat that really big meal for lunch and eat very light for eve meal.

Its not bad, but it will take longer to digest and most of the energy will go to fat cells. If you have a good metabolism then dont worry!! At least you wont be hungry in the morning...

When you go to sleep, your body goes into shut-down mode and it doesn't digest food like it should. So your food sits in your tummy all night and gives you nightmares and in the morning, you will feel like throwing up.
