We have been serching for a quote and there are wild differences between them. would appreciate other peoples experiences.

It varies greatly depending on age, gender, smoker, employment etc.

For one person it could be £20 per month for another it could be £120. (income protection)

Also Critical illness, and life are generally more affordable if you do them together, but they vary again on the above and also how much you need to cover. i.e mortgage etc

There will be a large difference partly because different companies will be more competitive in different situations, and partly because of differences in the contracts. Try working with an independent agent who is professionally trustworthy and can explain these differences or a fee-only financial planner.

Who can afford all those?
Just stay away from Unum income replacement, etc. They have lots of lawsuits against them and a friend has continuing hassles as Unum makes up doctor's reports and misinterprets detective inspection reports.
