You should tell her. You had given her fair warning and she still deserves some acknowledgement as to why you are no longer coming to her.

My stylist charges $100, but not all the time. If that's what she charges you all the time, if you like the way she does your hair, talk to her about the price, especially if you are a weekly or bi-weekly customer. If it's $150 a month, tell her you would like to see her price chart (which by law should be posted), and talk to her honestly about the services you are receiving. If she refuses, take your business some where else.

That's ridiculous! I know you want to be fashionable and in style but, really now, I would shop around.
You could let your beautician know that your on a budget but, the reality is she's trying to get paid, it's nothing personal, that's her bread and butter.
You on the other hand have a responsibility to balance your own bank. So, if that means, (until you get out of school) finding a reputable beauty school, Girl, take advantage!
They only let the senior students, ones about to graduate, service clients, supervised by the instructors and you'll probably pay less than 1/2 of what you pay your beautician.
Why spend a fortune when you can just look like you did!
Good Luck!

If it`s a burden on ur budget then shop around for a cheaper price, her`s is rather steep.Word of mouth is a good way to find another stylist. Ask others where they get their hair done, if u see someone with a stylish do. that u like. If and when u find another stylist u r under no obligation to tell ur current hairdresser anything. U already told her her prices were high and she didn`t offer to lower them, so feel free to move on.

OMG! thats ridiculous! u should take ur business elsewhere. I dont know where u live but i live in southern california and i go to a place called Carlton hair. They are a little expensive, but not that expensive. Im a college student as well and i find the people that work at Carlton hair are all trendy young people that know how to cut hair very well!

If you can't afford it, go somewhere else.
She can't do anything about the prices, The $150 is the price of most upscale salons, If you go to a smaller salon, like a family one, The prices are usually cheaper.

You don't need to tell her that you're looking for a new stylist. You should check out Yelp.com and search in your area for a salon that is cheaper; it takes a few different ones before you find your keeper. Good luck! :)

Why would she care if you went to someone else? Go and forget about her. Why would you pay $150 for your hair?
