Can peanut butter withstand days, weeks (or whatever) of being handled, being submitted to temperatures?
BTW, the container is plastic, not glass.

This is the "natural" type pb, where the oil might already be separated. I don't know if that makes a difference.

I imagine it would be fine since it is hermetically sealed. As far as sitting in hot places, can you just imagine how long it sits in hot warehouses before it's shipped to sellers?

Uh, I don't think this is the intent of your question, but you might want to go online and check the laws and make sure you can ship food items into the country. You are not allowed to take fresh fruit into Australia for some reason, and Brazil might have some laws about foods, too, particularly soft foods like peanut butter where drugs can be hidden. Just a thought. If any of you are from Brazil, you can answer this for this person.

Should not be a problem as long as the jar is hermetically sealed. Make sure it's got that foil/paper/plastic seal under the lid.
I lived in Brazil for 10 years. I missed peanut butter! They sold some weird stuff called "creme de amendoim" but it was nasty. It was really sweet, had a grainy texture and didn't even taste like peanuts. Reminded me of sawdust mixed with corn syrup.
If you are going to go to the trouble of shipping it to Brazil, I'd go with raw almond butter instead. Much better and healthier than PB...

Natural peanut butter has a shelf life of approximately 2 months before the oil starts to turn rancid. If it is refrigerated it is more like 6 months. Is there a peanut butter shortage in Brazil?

Well, the thing is.. it's prolly worth trying to send just to see what happens. It keeps for ages when sealed. We don't refrigerate it once opened and it lasts for a about a fortnight before they kids have eaten it all.
Vegemite also travels well, I understand. It's in a glass container normally... so a padded bag (using air cell pockets as wrapping) is highly adviseable... whether glass or not ... via air freight. It should only take a week but I hear they are having a postal strike in Brazil ~!~

The PB will be fine. The oil might slightly separate, but that's easily remedied by a good stir. It will not go bad, however, as long as you send it in the factory-sealed jar.

I'm sure it could.
You could do like a test, place it in your refrigerator and take it out the next day and leave it in room temperature, and then put it outside the next day or somewhere hot and see if it's any good after all the temperatures it's been through.

I don't know just an Idea. But I'm sure it wouldn't expire.

It should be ok, and while you're transporting peanut butter, send some my way. I haven't had any for seven years, I can barely remember the taste. Jif preferrably.
