I would trash the Science Diet junk. It really has very little nutritional value for your growing pup.
I highly suggest Merrick Puppy Plate. Although it is a bit harder to find, it is worth the look. The ingredients are by far the best I know of for a premium kibble.
The Merrick canned foods line is also wonderful, with human grade ingredients and actual meat pieces in each variety.
If you have to settle for a Petsmart/Petco brand, check these out instead of the usual Hills, Nutro, Pedigree, Purina, etc:
Nature's Recipe
Solid Gold
Natural Balance---another very high quality choice
There ya go.

Hills Science Diet is a terrible food. I am willing to bet that your vet recommended that food to you. Most vets will because they get a kick back from the company for selling it. Also, they cover very little nutrition when in school to become a vet and just are not educated on the proper diet. You could be doing SOOO much better for your puppy. Especially since your puppy is in the middle of its key development years.
When I had a puppy we fed him Innova dry puppy food. His previous owners fed him Purina puppy chow and there was HUGE difference in his health and coat when we changed him over.
Now that I have cats, I am feeding them Innova EVO (canned), as it is the best food.
Innova and Innova EVO are both high quality foods with no grain (EVO has no grain), fillers or by products. Your puppy would thrive if switched over to a high quality food. Even if you don’t switch to Innova, PLEASE change to a better food then Science Diet (also avoid any food you find in a grocery store or big pet store like Petco or Petsmart).
Do some research into proper dog nutrition; you will be shocked how bad so many "popular" brands are!

I feed mine Merrick's dry.
I think you can get something better than Science Diet for the same price.
Here are the ingredients to Hill's
Chicken, Ground Whole Grain Corn, Ground Whole Grain Sorghum, Ground Whole Grain Wheat, Chicken By-Product Meal, Soybean Meal, Animal Fat (preserved with mixed tocopherols and citric acid), Corn Gluten Meal, Brewers Rice, Chicken Liver Flavor, Soybean Oil, Dried Egg Product, Flaxseed, Potassium Chloride, Iodized Salt, Calcium Carbonate, Choline Chloride, Vitamin E Supplement, vitamins (L-Ascorbyl-2-Polyphosphate (source of vitamin C), Vitamin E Supplement, Niacin, Thiamine Mononitrate, Vitamin A Supplement, Calcium Pantothenate, Biotin, Vitamin B12 Supplement, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Riboflavin, Folic Acid, Vitamin D3 Supplement), minerals (Ferrous Sulfate, Zinc Oxide, Copper Sulfate, Manganous Oxide, Calcium Iodate, Sodium Selenite), DL-Methionine, preserved with Mixed Tocopherols and Citric Acid, Beta-Carotene, Rosemary Extract
It has alot of corn and grains.. out of the first 5 ingredients, 3 are a grain. This is just nothing but fillers. By-products is the crappy left-over peices of meat that arent even fit to use in hot dogs. Then again, I see corn gluten meal and rice.. more grains, more corn. Almost all dog foods have a grain in them, but a high quality food doesnt use that many grains.. corn is just a filler, as dogs dont really digest it.. most dogs are allergic to corn.

Science Diet is not a very good quality food.
I fed our puppies and all of our foster puppies Solid Gold Wolf Cub. It's an excellent food.

I feed my puppies Wellness Puppy. but other foods out there that are good are Innova, Canidae, Merrick, And Eagle pack holistic select.
If i were you I'd stop feeding your dog the Science diet. It's loaded with Corn, By-products and fillers. which isn't good for a dog. It can cause them to develop a food allergy and will make your dog poop more and you'll need to feed more of it in order for your dog to feel satisfied. It's not good food it's manufactured in China and some of their food was recalled.

Science Diet is GARBAGE..
We don't feed puppy food.. We feed Canidae All Life Stages.. Good for puppies, adults and seniors..
You have a young puppy, you want to start out right, feeding a quality food.. Don't feed Science Diet, Iams/Eukanuba, NO PURINA.. NO Beneful, NO Pedigree, Ol Roy or Kibbles N Bits.. None of those grocery store crap dog foods.. If you love your dog, or you want him to start out with the best possible chance you will avoid garbage foods and feed only quality kibble.. None of which you can buy in the grocery store... The grocery store crap is there for your convenience.. They hope to get you to buy their garbage while you are there getting groceries.. It's just like the gum and everything else they have by the cashregister.. High priced, convenience..
If you knew what people were thinking about you when you have your big bag of garbage dog food in your grocery cart.. You would be embarassed.. Not only do we look at your crappy dog food but we start to check out your entire grocery cart to see what You are eating.. it's obvious when you look at the cart with the garbage dog food that the people themselves don't care about what they eat, so why would they care what they feed their dog...

I feed my pups only the best....Life's Abundance. It costs a little more, however it is the best food your animals will need. It is ordered thru Trilogy....Healthy Pet Net. It is the freshest food for your animals and it is shipped right to your residence. You will need to find a distributor/rep (usually at groom shop and veternarians will know of someone) If you are interested, I can give you my reps e-mail address to order the food. I lost my Bailey earlier this year and I do not trust the food that is sold in the stores, so my 2 new pups get only the best.

My vet told me that, although the high dollar dog foods are great, the best economical choice is still Purina Puppy Chow.
