why is G.Bush telling everybody that the US economy was improving when we have a trillion $ deficit and the value of USD was so low that we can call it loonies?

Read 1984. Newspeak. War means peace. Bad means good. He says it is improving, and that means it is sinking.
We are winning the hearts and minds of the Iraqi people. Iraq was part of the 9/11 attack. We live in the world of Newspeak. They can tap your phone. They can get your personal data.
So, in Newspeak I will say that Bush is an intelligent person, with the best interest of the average citizen at heart.

What do you want him to say?? The sky is falling and run for the hills??? The market moves on emotions of the people. Even if times are bad they must create the illusion that everything is A-OK.

The average person doesn't give a crap about economy. 75% of the American people couldn't even tell you who our vice president is... maybe 5% could name the speak of the house... all they care about is Monday night football and happy hour at the bar...

you make it sound like the budget deficit is his fault?

it's been there a long time.. .LONG before he took office...

remember 8 years of the clintons ruling the earth?

don't blame bush for all the worlds problems. if anything, blame all the politicians.... but not just one.

Don't you know Bush is the liar and conman of the century. Even when he knows that you know the truth,, he'll stay by his ridiculous ideas.
