If I am an atheist, am I the enemy of christians?

Is this why some christians are so hateful to atheists?

You are a servant of whomever, or whatever, you choose to serve.
Being an atheist doesn't make you an enemy of anyone in particular.
As to the last question, some Christians are simply hateful people. It is not in line with the ideology they profess, but it is still an accurate statement.
Why some Chistians seem to especially hate atheists can only be speculated about. I modestly put forth that any of these may be true in a given situation:
Only the Christian's fear of God keeps them from behaving in some deplorable way, and therefore they believe an atheist would acts just that deplorably, since he is unafraid of consequences.
Or they could perceive that atheist as a 'lost soul', and if left unconverted the atheist will only serve the Devil and cause further misery and evil in the world.
Or maybe they just get tired of being called bad things for having a belief system.
Or perhaps, just perhaps, they hate those atheists for the simplest reason anybody hates anything; their parents taught them to hate, and they've never questioned why they do it.

Some 33% of the world are Christians, the rest are not. Does that mean that 67% of the world are servants of Satan? I don't think so.

However, in my personal opinion, if you see contradictions in Christianity and you cannot reconcile yourself to those and cannot get straight answers from Christians, then maybe you should try Eastern religions such as Buddhism and Hinduism.

Being a total atheist has been a choice of many Western intellectuals but these did not know much about Eastern philosophies. They had to choose between science/reason and the Bible. But the Bible is not the only holy book on Earth. There are others.

Eastern religions make sense to me and are generally very scientific.

It is hard to go through life without getting power from prayer. And no, you do not have to choose between Christ and Satan. Third and fourth choices are available among other legitimate and good religions.

You can not live in a vacuum - spiritually speaking. You are either, a part of the problem becoming (haven't arrived there quite, yet) the solution or a part of the problem remaining the problem ... howbeit, whatever, the cause may be, for example ignorance [not knowing any better - unaware], deliberate rejection of devine revelation (you have to know ["taste" of it ] firstly, to reject it) or simply, you remain "uncalled" or "undrawn", as an "elect" of God. (see: John 6, verse 44). In THIS regard, you are attuned to the spirit working in this world - Satan's wave-length. Having said this, take heart - God will either, in this present life "call" you or in the New age to come, at the return of Jesus Christ to this earth. It is in this regard, that some Christians should know better than to look down, in spiritual pride, at Atheists. In the Book of First Peter, chapter 5, verse 9 - Athesists (Agnostics too) are termed as our "brothers" in the world.

Being a servant sucks. Technically, by defintion of the Catholic church, atheists have always been heretics and Satanists. I say Satanists in that anything that is not of God is supposed to be an agent of Satan or what not.
Lets join hands and go to hell together, I'll bring the marshmellows, O.J will bring the graham crackers, and you can bring the Hersheys and we'll all have a grand old time.

it seems like in their eyes, whoever isn't with them, is against them.....you don't have to be anyones servant....I'm not jesus' servant. And I'm not the devils servant. christians aren't as open minded about stuff....from personal experiences with people....but they're not really hateful to atheists....they just think atheists are wrong.....which shows how narrow-minded they are.

I think the reason that some Christians (like the dorkwads who'll give this answer a thumbs down) are resentful of atheists is because they envy the fact that we can go through life without cowering before an invisible Cosmic Bogeyman (TM) or being psychologically manipulated by organized religion...

Yes and no. There is no fence you are either a child of God or a servant of sin.
This does not make you an automatic enemy of Christians all of us are sinners saved by grace.
