No problem with perscription meds as long as they are in their respective bottles. You can consolidate to one bottle but its not a great idea. Checked baggage does get lost occaisonally and being without your meds can be life threatning. So.... The security guys are used to seeing lots of meds. Everyone packs them in their carry-ons. Just in case.

You are thinking of doing what I always do especially when its a long flight or to a foreign country. I put my meds, clean socks, shirt and underwear in my rucksack my bugout bag if you will. I only take two meds so it isn't a big problem for me just make sure that they are all in labeled bottles with your name on it.

I would suggest that prior to traveling that you visit the TSA website http://www.tsa.gov/ they have the complete list of what is and is not allowed on the aircraft. As far as medication it needs to stay in its original packaging with the name on the prescription matching the name on your boarding pass. Hope this helps and have a great trip!

It is better if you put only essential medicine which you need to consume during the journey period, in your carry on baggage rest you can put in your check in baggage. Medicines are allowed on board.
