Should I use that as one name with a middle name or use it by itself with our last name? (By the way, our last name is a 2 syllable name. I'm not putting it on here tho!)

I WOULD JUST LIKE TO ADD ON HERE THAT I AM NAMING MY DAUGHTER TONI AFTER MY DAD WHO DIED IN A CAR ACCIDENT 3 YEARS AGO!! I'M SORRY IF THAT SOUNDS TRASHY TO ANYONE. Maybe you should think about the reasons behind someone naming their child a "trashy, hillbilly name" before you are so rude!! All you had to say was that you didn't like it!!! THANKS FOR NOTHING!!!

My Dad's middle name was Alan, if you have any other suggestions for that name? Also, I don't want to go with Alana or Alaina.

Toni-Lynn is CUTE!! If you choose to go with a middle name, my suggestion would be something simple that goes with everything, like Marie. I don't think Ann would work even though it goes with most everything. Maybe Toni-Ann if you like Ann.

As for the Alan portion: My aunt named my cousin Katharine Allyn after my grandfather. At first I thought it strange, but it has grown on me. (My grandfather's name is Allen, so changing the spelling made it a little more "girly")

Good luck and congrats!!

I understand perfectly the idea of wanting to honor your dad. I was curious what his middle name is. Maybe that could be used or incorporated. I just want to say from experience that it is a pain to have an oddly-spelled name, though. She may get tired fast of having to spell her name. I would also not hyphenate the name. That will only increase the amount of spelling confusions people might have. Why not try naming her Antonia and just "Toni" for short, though?

Just Toni - Lynn is fine. Or you can make it Toni Lynn (as first and middle). Either is cute, though

Well for flow purposes, let's say your last name is Johnson.

Toni-Lynn Johnson

I think it's fine like it is. Might get too crowded with a middle name.

No middle name required, unless there is a family member you feel a pressing need to honour. I wouldn't add another middle name just for the sake of having one thought.

sorry, I'm not crazy about the name. But if Toni-Lynn is hyphenated, give her a middle name, as well. If Toni Lynn is NOT hyphenated, another name is not necessary.

Oh my gosh! WHO likes Toni-Lynn? That sounds so incredibly trashy. Sorry to shoot down your dreams. It's a hideous hillbilly name. I dodged a bullet when I was born. I was almost named an equally trashy hillbilly name and I thank God my parents named me a normal name (Sarah)!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE name her something less trashy and hillbilly. Lynn is a lovely name. How about:

Natasha Lynn
Natalia Lynn
Antonia Lynn
ANYTHINGHERE Lynn
