I think the ratio is probably the same as in the general population but Pastors/Teachers are to be held to a higher standard. It is a sad thing indeed that some (as in some of the answers I've seen) would allow the actions of others to form their view of God instead of seeking God and knowing Him on their own.
A good pastor is one who has a heart of humility and service. My pastor shared a great analogy Sunday morning that he gave credit to another man for but it summed up his attitude. As he has grown in his walk with Christ and his ministry to others he first thought of himself standing on the shore calling to people in the troubled waters. "Come here where I am - here is where you need to be!"
Soon he felt more that he had one leg in the water trying to grab ahold of people. But now he realizes the truth that he is in the water with everyone else holding on and underneath are the everlasting arms of the Father.
We should pray for our spiritual leaders but never put them on a pedestal. When we have our focus on man we will be disappointed. God doesn't change or disappoint.
My friends who have come out of the Catholic church have all shared the superiority they feel the priests lorded over the congregants. This is in part because they believe they have so much power. This over-inflated sense of importance is not common to Catholics only. I've seen it in other denominations as well. I am glad that God says - "There is one God and one mediator between God and man - Jesus Christ" First TImothy 2:5
All that to say that a pastor with a proper perspective of his role in the church will not act superior. That would definitely have a bearing on where I chose to worship and serve.

Although Pride is one of the seven deadly sins, pastors and preachers and fathers are all victims of the "piety pride" game. Religious propagators KNOW that they are evil lying scum, yet imagine that they are protected in fictional afterlife by their obsequious subservience to GAWD. ...the punks.
This delusional obedience gives them the belief that they are immune to human ethics.
They suffer, (and children suffer) from their unmitigated hubris. They believe they know everything that is worth knowing.
The other superiority factor comes from their sexual perversion. There are more pederasts and pedophiles in religious circles than anywhere else,... government being a close second. Check this link out...

Most gays are just normal homosexuals or lesbians, but RELIGIOUS queers are REALLY FREAKIN SICKOS!
They use the pulpit and its presumed piety to promulgate perversion and pederasty on poor people... especially impressionable kids.
This only indicates the prevailing perversion of power issues these pastors have.
Please examine the links provided in the source area, and then please consider all the evidence you know from your own experience.
Religious people are sick stupid perverts.
It's that simple. QED

Pastors are supposed to serve you. Yep, serve you. Below you. It might just be those certain individuals that you've met, don't judge it on every single one. I've met some pretty great influencial preists and pastors. Just pray for them.

1 John 4:1 - Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
Psalms 146:3 - Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help. 4 His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.

God says that no-one should feel superior to another. That's just not right. We are all one, so we should all just love, be kind, generous, compassionate, and be happy!
God Bless

all mediums are used to be a proxy for the divine
it gets to your head
after you lose faith in such gurus, they have no power and they look silly trying to tell you how to live and yet they can't control their own people let alone their own lives
hence, the double standard
