Some people say it's wrong because it's not mentioned in the Bible, and there aren't examples of Biblical figures having been cremated. But then again, there's no scriptural example of Biblical figures ever having eaten Big Macs, either, but religious people do it every day. I personally don't think there's anything wrong with it. I don't know of any Bible verse that condemns it outright.

God’s Word does recommend that the body of a dead loved one be dealt with in a dignified, respectful way. But whether a family, for emotional, economic or other reasons, will have a deceased loved one cremated or not is a personal matter.

what you do with a dead body doesn't matter, as long as it does not directly go against the wishes of the spirit that once inhabited it.
