which song should i audition with?

I'm in a musical theatre class and have to audition with a song from a musical next week. My current top two choices are : Popular from Wicked, and God Help the Outcasts from The Hunchback of NOtre Dame. Which one should I do? I'm really really good at the WIcked one, but the Notre Dame one is just so pretty! Help me please. YOu can also give suggestions of other songs i can sing!!! :P thanks

oh also i forgot to mention that we're doing "Alice in Wonderland"
and I have a pretty good range (1.5-2 octaves) and I'm 13

Go with the one you're most comfortable with. Exuding confidence and being comfortable on the stage is extremely important for musicals...stage presence and enunciation are everything!

Don't worry too much about your range at this point...it will increase as you get older.

popular is a very good song. if you do have a good range and a pretty good high soprano voice i would suggest defying gravity. that song has a big range so you can show off your range. plus it has lots of cresendos and if you have a good vabrato you can show that off too. another very pretty song but also a good range especially for someone your age is I'm not that girl also from wicked. that song is very pretty and slow but has a great range. any of those i think will be good songs for you. the only reason i think popular may be a somewhat bad choice is because it doesnt take much skill to sing it. its a very cutsy fun song but it doesnt really show how much talent you have. my philosophy is to pick a song that is challenging to you because it makes you feel that much more accomplished once you master it and wow the crowd. good luck with the audtion!!!!!
