In my humble opinion it can be accomplished simply by turning off the TV. If you have been raised by a TV then invest in a psychotherapist who can guide you into a sane and wholesome pattern of thinking and behaving to replace the values you obtained by watching TV. This is not an idle rant.

Your mind should be peaceful for you to be a healthy person.Here below are some points you should remember for Peace of Mind.

1.Change yourself according to the environment
It is nature of our mind to be adapted according to new environment. So we have to change our mind with the new environment
2.Do not be jealous
Always try to do best of yourself and enjoy in the achievement and success of others.Jealousy makes us feel unsatisfied every time.
3.Forgive and forget
Every person makes mistake that may be smaller or bigger in life.So try to forgive as far as possible.
4.Never leave the mind vacant
By this, I don't mean that you should think anything if your mind is vacant.Fill your mind with positive thinking and good ideas.
5.Do not interfere in other's business unless asked

Meditate on the Bible. Pray. Think about all the good things that have happened to you. Take deep breaths and clear your head of all cluttering thoughts. Don't let yourself get over-stressed. If you get stressed, take a break and do anything listed above.

Learn to detach. See things from a distance cos they are all dramas in your life. And they will pass. Whether its family, friends, work or school, you can choose to be happy, be at peace with yourself.

You can feel good without expecting others to change.

Don’t take yourself too seriously.

Act, don’t react.

Do things you enjoy regularly.

Have regular contact with people that build you up, as opposed to tear you down.
