For increasing our Love for the Lord and to develope a loving relationship with him we should have utmost Loving Devotion and Bhakti towards him in our Heart. This is enough and the Lord will accept us affectionately what ever we offer to him. Thus our Love will develop for the Lord-
Bhagwan Sri Krishna says in Chapter 9, verse 26 as -
Patram, Pushpam, Phalam, Toyam yo me Bhakty prayacchati-
tad aham bhakty-upahrtam asnami Pryatatmanah-
Meaning in English-
Whoever with loving devotion offers unto Me a leaf, a flower, a fruit or water, I affectionately accept that devotional offering from that pure hearted being-
