I personally have not, yet one of my best friends have. He told me that in order to experience God, you have to have that desire to know Him. You also need to be desperate for God. Without desperation, you cannot seek God. For example, a lot of people who are sick and/or have some sort of life threatening disease might seek God. This is when that person is most weak and need desperation. In the same sense, one must be desperate, and only by doing so will one experience God.

Yes, after I repented, 1 week after as a matter of fact. I went to the church down the street from me on a Wednesday, knowing they have Bible study that night, but it was different because they were in what is called "month of Consercration". Fasting and prayer, while I was in prayer I spoke in tongues as the Spirit gave me to etter. No prodding, no coaching. We relate of there being a God by the Scriptures and by the testimonies of other's experiences, right. Well I spoke in tongues as the first group found in the Book of Acts of the Apostles 2nd chapter. It still is not late for you my friend. Acts of the Apostles 2: 38- 40

When I first got saved there was a small still very quite voice in my heart telling me I needed to be saved. I my heart was racing, I was suddenly crying and sweating, I went to the Preacher and told him I need to be saved, He knelt with me in Prayer, then a peace came over me. I grew as a Christian I learned that the sweating and heart racing was the Holy Spirit convicting me of my sins and my need for a Saviour, I don't know if you have ever faced death before but I have and I instinctively cried out for God, His Holy Spirit now lives in my Heart and I know I am going to Heaven. Thats what the Bible teaches, I am a perfect example of what the Bibles says, I was a sinner a when Jesus died on a cross he washed away my sins so that I could be saved and born again. John 3:3 says that a man must be born again to see the Kingdom of God, we must born of the flesh and the spirit. When Christ arose from the grave he forever washed away our sins. Now all we have to do is accept his free gift of salvation, if you would like to get saved right now you can, just say this simple Prayer believing, Dear Jesus, I know and confess that I am sinner in need of salvation. I believe you died on a cross at calvery and arose from the grave to wash away my sins, I ask you right now to come into my heart and save me, I pray this Prayer believing in the name of Jesus Amen. If you prayed this prayer with a sincere heart you are now a child of God, rejoice that your name is written in the Lambs book of Life. If you have any questions just send me an email, God Bless YOU!!

Yes. And because it was personal, it is difficult to explain why it was genuine. My mother took me often to church to do all the Catholic ritual stuff. Then, in Catechism class, we all rose to our feet when the Father walked in. Something deep inside of me thought this was wrong. Like Mordecai not bowing to Haman, I went to my mother and told her I no longer wanted to go. She did not force me.

I was without religion for the next 10 years, and I felt very empty going through Junior High School. I wanted God, but could not find Him. Then, my friend Steve asked me if I had ever been "saved". What was that? He told me that it was asking Jesus into your heart as Lord and Savior. I could have Jesus come in to my heart?!? I was NEVER told this at the Catholic church. I was just given a lot of rituals and things to do and requirements to keep--all of which led me AWAY from God! So on Thanksgiving night of 1970, I asked Jesus into my heart as Lord and Savior. A few months later, I asked the Holy Spirit to fill me and from that point on, I knew that God was real, God was personal and that the Bible was indeed His very eternal Word.

I became one of those born-again Jesus Freaks of the 1970s. This was the Calvary Chapel movement that started in Costa Mesa, California USA. http://calvarychapel.org/?show=Resources.History

I was by myself when I asked Christ into my heart, because I figured if He IS God, He can meet me where I am at and not at a church. And He did, in a BIG way. Been walking and talking with Him for 36 years now.

I have always wanted a personal relationship with my Creator, but never knew how to gain it. Christianity showed me how and proved it beyond what I could imagine. The Bible showed me that this salvation was free, with no requirements other than to believe and trust in the Savior as Lord.

Free will is everything to God. He will never force anything upon you without your will to do so.

Every day. I study His Word and I communicate with Him. I know it is genuine when I can back it up with the Scripture.

Oh, yeah... sure. I called him up last week (I have him on speed dial *winks*) and we had a pizza party while watching all the people down here on Earth screwing each other over. Then we went all the way down to Hell to hang with Satan and had some barbecue and chips smothered with the blood of the tortured souls. Yummy!

Cool guy.
