Flea medications are made with pesticides. Some over the counter flea products are made with an older method of pesticide which is bad for humans to come in contact with. However, Frontline Plus is a safe medication, and should not cause you harm if you touch it. it is best when applying a flea produc to your pet to do it at night. That way, you are sleeping or away from the pet while it soaks into the skin. if you do happen to get it on yourself (which a lot of people do, including me) then just wash your hands. It will be fine. I would reccomend staying away from over the counter flea products like biospot, hartz, or other products as they can cause reactions not on ly on you but on your pet as well. Frontline is the only product that is 100% garunteed by the manufacturer to work, and get rid of fleas and ticks. It is only garunteed if bought through a vet though. You can still get it over the counter, and it is exactly the same as what the vet would sell. i would stick with frontline plus. Good luck.

Some of the pesticides in the flea applications (permethrin; pyrethrin) have been shown to cause infertility in women.

And, these and other flea pesticides have been shown to cause damage to the human liver, and other vital organs.

Use Diatomaeous Earth, or Seven Dust to keep rid the flea population on your pets. These are less toxic, and the D.E. is absolutely Non-toxic to your pets and yourself!

Because it's pesticides. Flee poison just isn't healthy to be touching, or any poison for that matter!

I'm not sure of the exact reason, but the medications all state... keep off human skin. Wash if you get this on your skin.

Ask your vet.
